Optimize ion chamber reading for data collection
From OEM Move GUi running on bl10vig1 :
- select the window Mono:SecondCrystal
- select the pitch motor (as shown in red below) to optimize the pitch
- write down the current value displayed
- start scanning the pitch motor by steps of (+/-) 1.0 for a coarse scan while looking at the value of the first ion chamber on the dtb (in the picture below its the value '13308' next to the 'Intensity' tab.
- When a peak has been found scan the pitch motor by steps
of (+/-) 0.1 for a fine scan.
At this point your attention must go to the marccd software: - select the beam alignment tab. Make sure that only the Optimise feature is ticked.
- Press 'Start' and wait for the procedure to complete (usually in two minutes)
