Set up the sample cooling equipment
- Ideally when you come to use the BL10 the sample
cooling equipment is already up and running at 100 K
- You can check this by looking at the Cryojet
controller as below.
- The two units (Level indicator and controller)
shold be ON.
If OFF you can turn them on and cooling will take
about an hour.
- The Liquid Nitrogen level should be above
20.0 % and the autofil system should start when below that level.
- Jet Temperature is always set to 100.0 K.
The
standard sample flow is 6.0 and the shield
flow 8.0.
- The optimum crystal-cryojet distance is 4-5mm and
this is controlled by the marccd selecting the crystal
tab.
